Background of Founding |
The late Father Soichi Iwashita bought a piece of land in Shinanomachi with inherited funds and founded St. Filippo’s Dormitory Foundation in February 1934. Since its establishment, we have worked on the sound upbringing of youths. Since February 1952, as Shinseikaikan, we have been offering a place of learning for people from all walks of life, including those interested in lifelong learning. |
Purpose of Establishment |
The purpose of establishment is set forth in the articles of incorporation: “To cultivate wisdom and virtue, enhance intellect and increase the literature based on the Catholic spirit, targeting students and adults.” |
